Formerly a partner with City Advisory and accountancy firm Mazars LLP and council member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Formerly Group CEO at Ecclesiastical Insurance and before that partner at Ernst & Young, and an actuarial firm Watson Wyatt LLP. Recently completed his six-year term as a Non-Executive Chair of Unity, a specialist insurance broker belonging to The Scout Association, and also non-executive director of a London Market insurer, he has over 40 years of UK insurance industry experience. He is an active Christian, attending a church in Chingford.
