Could you capture the energy and spirit of your church in a single photograph?
That’s the challenge Baptist Insurance is setting the Baptist community as it launches a photo competition this spring called Living Churches.
A top prize of a £150 donation to the winner’s church is on offer for the photograph that best sums up a living church at the heart of its community. Second prize is a donation of £100 while third prize is £75.
John Coates, general manager of Baptist Insurance said: “Our team members visit lots of Baptist churches so we know what energizing and inspirational places they are. What we want to do is show the rest of the world. “How you interpret the idea of showing a living church is entirely up to you. We’re really looking forward to seeing some creative and innovative approaches.”
In addition to building a library of images of church life, the team at Baptist Insurance is hoping that sharing the photographs will give other churches ideas for activities and initiatives that keep their church squarely at the heart of their local communities.
If you’re over 18 and would like to submit a photograph to the competition, you have until mid-day on Friday 14 September to email your entry to annika.howard@baptist-ins.com
Please make sure you have read, and your photograph meets, all the competition terms and conditions, listed below, before you submit your photograph.
Entries will be judged by Baptist Insurance with the winners being announced in the autumn/winter edition of Expressions.
